Why You Should Attend
This event is more than a dog show. It’s a chance to connect with your community, celebrate the joy dogs bring to our lives, and create lasting memories. The friendly competition encourages participation without pressure, making it ideal for dog owners of all experience levels. The variety of classes means every dog has a chance to shine, from the fastest runner to the most charming puppy. Plus, the additional activities and stalls ensure there’s something for everyone, no matter your age or interest.
Most importantly, every penny raised supports the work of Kench Hill Centre. Funds from this year’s show will go directly towards maintaining the centre and helping us introduce a brand‑new axe‑throwing activity, which will be integrated into our bushcraft programme to give visiting children an even richer, more confidence‑building outdoor experience.
By joining us, you’re not just enjoying a brilliant day out, you’re helping create life‑changing opportunities for young people

Get Ready for a Day of Fun
Prepare your dog for the show by practising simple tricks or picking out a fun costume for the Fancy Dress class. Bring a picnic blanket or chairs to relax between events, and don’t forget water and treats for your furry friend. There will be water stations and shaded areas available around the grounds, but it’s always best to have your own supplies to keep your dog comfortable throughout the day.
Arriving early helps you find a good spot and register for classes. Remember, each class costs £2, so plan which ones you want to enter. Whether you compete or watch, the Kench Hill Fun Dog Show offers a welcoming space to celebrate dogs and community spirit.
